Mandela Effect VS Manifestation

csl2016nov22I’ve been asked recently whether there is a difference between the Mandela effect and manifestation–and if there is a difference, what that might be.

The short answer is: Yes, there is a difference, and it has a lot to do with conscious intent. A trending monicker for reality shifts is “Mandela Effect,” in which many people may notice changes that seemingly have nothing to do with anything anyone was consciously wishing for, whereas in the case of “instant manifestation” and quantum jumps, we’re focused on a specific intention.

Mandela Effects and Reality Shifts

Mandela Effects and reality shifts often seem random and unexpected, surprising us with such things as: unexpected movie dialogue in a familiar scene, changes in writing in books we thought we knew by heart, and the occasional deceased celebrity being noticed unexpectedly alive again. In contrast, manifestation and quantum jumps typically occur after we focus on a specific desired outcome, such as locating a coveted parking spot, or suddenly feeling as if we’ve had enough rest after a short night’s sleep of tossing and turning.

QJ200x303Manifestation and Quantum Jumps

In the realm of manifestation, I’ve reported on hundreds of experiences involving such things as: improved health, broken-down or out-of-gas cars that start, and radically improved finances and relationships. In addition to these, many of the quantum jumps shared on the realityshifters website and in my book, “Quantum Jumps” include case studies of people teleporting through dangerous situations, such as safely past oncoming vehicles or falling steel beams they seemingly have no way to avoid. One useful example of how to enjoy benefits from ‘faking it until you make it’ and jumping to what feels like a parallel reality is believing you’ve slept well, even if you haven’t. Researchers at Colorado College conducted a study demonstrating the positive effects of such placebo sleep–which is one of dozens of similar laboratory-tested, simple things you can do to quickly become smarter, stronger, more confident, in better relationships, and feeling less pain that I share in my book, Quantum Jumps.

Overlap and  Commonalities

There appears to be a spectrum of continuity between the seemingly random surprises of Mandela Effects/reality shifts and consciously intended manifestation/quantum jumps, with a bit of overlap in the middle. I’ve experienced being part of a small group of people who start off experiencing seemingly random reality shifts / Mandela Effects, and end up witnessing what would more accurately be called quantum jumps / manifestation. These areas of overlap can be recognized when something is observed to “flip-flop” back and forth a few times before finally settling down at some point. During such flip-flops, we get a chance to consider our intentions.

As disconcerting as this experience can seem at the time, I am immensely grateful when such “flip-flops” occur, since they provide me with validation that I am, indeed, experiencing genuine shifts in reality, and not merely some kind of ‘memory glitch,’ as some classical scientists and reporters assert. Furthermore, I am grateful to have what I feel to be an opportunity to make a choice between which reality I’d truly most enjoy to experience, based on which one I’m more emotionally and energetically attached to (with whatever strong feelings I may have). I do realize this is a bit like being shown two possible desserts on a tray by a waiter in a restaurant–and the one I get is the one I am most entangled with. That is the moment all my spiritual “inner work” pays off, so hopefully I don’t end up with something I’m still “working through.”

And if I’m sufficiently relaxed, energized and detached, I’ve noticed that it seems that what gets settled on tends to be what I might ever-so-slightly prefer, so it seems to me almost as if I’m being asked by the Universe “Do you like this?” “Or how about this?” “Which one do you like better?” “Want to check it again–how about this?” “Or this?” 🙂

In the cases where no such flip-flopping occurs, the transition to a new reality can seem seamless and smooth, as if it was simply a natural progression and nothing out of the ordinary at all. I feel this is why so many people are blissfully unaware of the number of shifts they actually experience each day–simply because these shifts don’t often seem exceptional, but rather are just part of the way we each experience daily life.

Significance of Numbers of Experiencers

There are those who say there is another difference between Mandela Effects and manifestation other than conscious intent, stating that Mandela effects impact many people, whereas manifestation is experienced by one person at a time. While this might seem true at first glance, my research shows that’s an inaccurate oversimplification. What I’ve learned from 18 years of studying reality shifts and conducting two separate surveys in April 2000 and 2013 is that while reality shifts and Mandela Effects are often witnessed by many people, sometimes there are just a few people recognizing a particular alternate history, and sometime only one. Similarly, reports of manifestation and quantum jumps typically involve a single experiencer–though there are times when groups of people witness instantaneous shifts in reality that are greatly appreciated and had been hoped for and intended.

cynthiavajraA Time of Global Awakening

At this time when increasing reports of Mandela Effects and reality shifts being observed, we seem to be experiencing a time of global awakening in which we are gaining a glimpse of how collective consciousness operates. Within collective consciousness, our thoughts and feelings are capable of influencing world events, and influencing the past as well as the present and future. While at first these shifts may appear random, they can provide us with awareness of how we can collectively invite positive experiences of how good things can get for everyone.

Mandela Effects / reality shifts represent a call to action for all of us to acknowledge that rather than focusing primarily on ego-satisfaction and ego-goals, we’ve arrived at a point when humanity as a whole is beginning to climb the steps of stages of psychosocial development, something akin to what psychologist Erik Erikson proposed for individuals. Humanity is currently in a phase something like infancy, in which we are dealing with matters of Trust VS Distrust when it comes to knowing if we can share goals and thoughts and intentions with others. This is just the first step, and it’s essential that we come to a good state of awareness of how to do this in large groups of people we barely know (or perhaps don’t really know at all) before we can proceed to the next step of development to something like Autonomy VS Shame and Doubt (similar to the so-called “terrible twos” that toddlers go through when they often delight in saying “No!” to everything).

For the best experiences of reality shifts and quantum jumps, I recommend remembering to keep asking, “How good can it get?”

Quantum Jumping and Manifesting with Law of Attraction

Cynthia Sue Larson

Today I received a lovely message from a reader of my blogs, who wrote in part:

Three days ago, following a personal tragedy, I shifted into this reality where there is a great deal of underground material on shifting between parallel realities.

and also:

Then suddenly, from my perspective, the internet, including YouTube, was instantly absolutely saturated with this material, with related videos that never before existed suddenly having been there for many years.

I sensed immediately while reading this message that its author was describing what I’ve alternately referred to as reality shifts and quantum jumps… essentially, the unmistakeable feeling of having freshly arrived on the shores of a new reality. Yes! I felt myself nodding, while reading this message, I know how this feels!

With a traveler’s eyes of wonder, I look around with newborn eyes, seeing the world as if for the first time. To me, there is nothing quite as extraordinary as the experience of recognizing one has just made a leap–as pure consciousness–from one world of physical reality to another. The signs are unmistakeable, as I find myself surrounded with histories people say “been that way all the time,” yet that I’ve never before seen or heard of.

The commenter on my blog continued:

This is different. This knowledge of quantum jumping, of course, existed in my reality (even though I wasn’t yet aware of it), yet this knowledge was simply not widely had amongst New Agers. And I can’t shake the feeling of how absolutely weird it is that I have come to realize, to deeply realize, that I have not been manifesting my reality, but rather, shifting into parallel realities, that I’ve not been changing my reality, but instead changing to different realities – ironically, though shifting into a reality where this information is readily available.

This reader makes an excellent point. There is indeed a difference between manifesting and quantum jumping, and as with all good things, the difference is found in ourselves–and who we think we are.

Manifesting VS Quantum Jumping

Are we manifesting… or are we quantum jumping?

How can we tell the difference?

It may seem at first a subtle distinction between a sense of “attracting what you wish to manifest” to “traveling to parallel universes,” but this distinction can be quite large. The so-called “Law of Attraction” (LOA) is based on identifying with a particular physical identity in a given universe of possibilities, in order that good things can come to those who manifest well. There is a sense in the LOA worldview that by changing your vibration through emotions, you can adjust your frequency to best attract that which you most need and desire. While it’s possible to do this from a pure spirit perspective, most practitioners focus on who they are as physical human beings, with an expectation that everything that matches the vibration they set will come to them.

Quantum jumpers, on the other hand, are individuals who learn to identify with existing in a state of pure being–of consciousness. They imagine other possible me’s and you’s in other parallel universes who we can tune into and receive assistance from, in order to make a leap of consciousness from one universe to another. This feeling of being pure consciousness is the state of mind obtained during lucid dreaming, and it’s also the state of consciousness experienced by many near death experiencers (NDE)–and both of these groups of consciousness travelers report amazing and astonishing shifts in reality in which things and people and even their own bodies make amazing transformations and changes. Such experiencers describe how their consciousness made the journey to new worlds in which what is sought also seeks, and in which histories change along with possible futures every time we make a jump to a given reality. Some type of meditation or other means to access a state of pure consciousness (such as lucid dreaming, or NDE) is required for successful quantum jumping, and it’s helpful to take action once landing on the shores of a new reality.

Manifesting Abundance Amidst 2012 Chaos

Cynthia Sue Larson

Cynthia Sue Larson

This week I heard from three people who each have been dealing with challenging circumstances that have led them to nearly give up hope, or as one friend wrote,

“I have a topic that I would love to see covered in your blog. Over the past few months, I have noticed that what is happening to me in life is not going along with my thoughts and actions. There has been a lot of incredibly horrible things happening to me, and I’m trying to figure out why. I haven’t done anything that I can think of that would have lead me down the path that I went through. After everything I have gone through, I’m one shade above feeling hopeless. it used to feel like the world was mine to conquer, all i had to do is think and make it so. Now it’s almost like it takes a lot more thinking and thought processes to get things going. When they do start, it’s like I’m slammed back down to step one again and I have to struggle back up again. It keeps happening. These are not thoughts that I was having, just observations that I’m making.

My question is, is there something going on in the Universe right now that is making Reality Shifting much more difficult? Is there any advice you can give to any of us out here who are really struggling just to survive, or to even want to survive? I feel like an alien displaced from it’s planet or a fish out of water…this doesn’t feel right at all anymore.”

Right now in 2012 we are experiencing a great deal of “shadow issues” from our collective unconscious that create a lot of chaos. We see this in terms of current world issues, including economic  and environmental crises.  While there are amazing numbers of reality shifts occurring now,  many people feel confused by difficult events and circumstances. Many people who’ve previously experienced success working with “law of attraction” ideas such as described in the movie The Secret are now hitting roadblocks and losing hope, wondering what they can do, if anything, to regain a sense of living a meaningful, prosperous life.

Any time you feel like a fish out of water, or that things aren’t quite right with the way your intentions play out in the physical world, I recommend starting with reviewing the six steps to attract what you most desire that I describe in chapter six of my book, Aura Advantage: How the Colors in Your Aura Can Help You Attain What You Desire and Attract Success. These provide an excellent road map for living a life of gracefully rewarding flow:

Aura Advantage(1) Energize dreams instead of fantasies,

(2) Get out of your own way,

(3) Listen to your chakras / body,

(4) Expect what you most desire,

(5) Appreciate every moment, and

(6) Do something nice for someone.

There are four additional meditations I suggest for these rapidly-shifting times to get and stay focused on what you most desire even as shadow issues are arising all around. These four meditations can provide you with a jump-start to living a more prosperous life even in the midst of chaotic, challenging, troubling times so many of us are experiencing now in 2012:

Know You Are Loved
When you have a sense of being unconditionally loved and adored for who you are–for the eternal, infinite spirit and soul that you are, you feel a sense of intrinsic worth. Once consciously recognized, nothing can ever take that sense of worth from you, nor can any circumstances ever truly get in the way. Imagining and regaining a sense of direct connection to Oneness–to Divine Source–instantly provides you with a buoyant, open-minded, open-hearted attitude. Intending to be the best you can be brings best results, as does living in accordance with the belief that you are inspired, directed, and animated by your best possible self, guided forward with intuition intended to help you best select options you’ll be happiest with in the long term, that your future self knows you’ll be happiest with… rather than what you think you want today.

Breathe Deeply to Your Core
When stressed, most people breathe shallowly, losing access to their personal power, or Qi. You can regain a sense of energized, calm confidence, inner strength, and balance by becoming physically relaxed while breathing deeply to your second chakra–the area just below your belly button. You can locate this area by placing one hand on your stomach with the thumb on top, resting on your belly button, and the palm of your hand just below. Feel a sense of calmness in your core, taking several deep, slow, steady, relaxed breaths while relaxing all your muscles. Focus on breathing deeply, so you can see and feel your belly button rising and falling with each slow, steady breath.

Let Go of Regrets
In a new paper Don’t Look Back in Anger published in Science, researchers from the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in Hamburg, Germany, report evidence from two experiments that showed that young and older depressed patients held onto regrets about missed opportunities, while the healthy older participants let regrets go. The key concept here is that our health greatly improves when we let go of thoughts about what could have, should have, or would have been. You can release all such thoughts and emotions by breathing deeply and envisioning that you are releasing all regrets to the center of the earth as you exhale.

Be Grateful
Since thoughts and feelings are manifesting so quickly now, it’s especially important to retain a sense of everything being just fine, especially regarding past events. Just as you can imagine your best possible future self reaching back through time to guide you forward to make the best possible choices for the long run, so too can you imagine yourself reaching back through time and guiding your attention to realities in which you gained skills, deepened relationships, reached a state of flow from being in the moment doing what you love, felt a sense of purpose for your life, helped others, and achieved meaningful accomplishments. Making regular time for gratitude meditations, keeping a gratitude journal, and writing down each day what went especially well and how you played a meaningful role in that are ways you can develop gratitude.

I hope you’ll enjoy watching and sharing my YouTube video summary of Manifesting Abundance in 2012 Chaos–and please feel free to leave comments either on this blog or on my YouTube video page!

One of the benefits of asking the question, “How good can it get?!” in every situation you find yourself in is that you’re likely to get some pretty wonderful answers.
