JOTT documentation of early personal Mandela Effects

Just One of Those Things

Two researchers, Barrington and Jinks, have documented personal Mandela Effects and reality shifts as “jotts,” “jottles,” and “DOP,” providing well-documented case histories of these events well back into the 1950s, with anecdotal evidence going much further back than that.

This past month, Jeff Mishlove, author and host of the excellent program, Thinking Allowed, asked if I had heard of a book called JOTT written by Mary Rose Barrington.  Until Jeff Mishlove mentioned this book, it had not been on my radar at all.

JOTT:  When Things Disappear… and Come Back or Relocate–and Why it Really Happens was published in 2018.  I love how it normalizes the reality shift or personal Mandela Effect phenomenon as merely being “Just One of Those Things,” or “JOTT.”  Author Mary Rose Barrington was born in London in 1926, studied law, and served as Vice President of the Society for Psychical Research.

Excellent documented evidence of MEs back to 1950s

Mary Rose BarringtonOne of my favorite things about JOTT is that it was written by a researcher born in the 1920s who was keenly aware that instances of objects disappearing, reappearing, teleporting, and appearing-out-of-nowhere were matters of common knowledge over a century ago.  JOTT references several articles on “Jottles” written by Barrington, going back to the early 1990s; Barrington was clearly fascinated with this topic.  Some of the detailed reports included in JOTT occurred as early as the 1950s, and Barrington pointed out that this phenomenon has a history going much farther back even than that.  Barrington writes,

“In our time, we seldom hear reports of sensational macro-phenomena said to have taken place during the 100 years starting mid-nineteenth century, when many people believed that such things were possible and that they could be evoked by the human endeavor, usually with input from the supposed spirit world.” [1]

Many of the first-hand reports described in JOTT came from submissions following an article from the magazine, “The Unexplained,” that described what we now recognize as personal Mandela Effects or reality shifts, asking readers to please write in with any of their experiences.

Where have “Jottles” been all my life?

Looking back to the list of references in the back of JOTT, I was stunned to see several articles on “Jottles” written by Barrington all the way back to the early 1990s, documenting what PMH Atwater referred to as “Reality Shifts” in a chapter by that name in 1999 in her book, Future Memory.  I did not find Atwater’s work until well after I’d written my book, Reality Shifts, yet Atwater’s take on the subject closely paralleled mine.

Tony JinksNow that I know to look for other terms for reality shifts and personal Mandela Effects, I see there are several articles about “jottles” published by Barrington going back to the 1990s, and a 2016 book about Disappearing Object Phenomenon, also known by the acronym “DOP,” by author Tony Jinks. [2]  Jinks apparently was aware of the terms “JOTT” and “jottles,” but apparently not the terms, “reality shift” nor “Mandela Effect.”

Truly we are living in interesting times, when the research about the same topic is being conducted in different niches. Both Barrington and Jinks have apparently been completely unaware of reality shifts as documented by myself and PMH Atwater in our books Reality Shifts and Future Memory, as well as the ever-expanding awareness of the general public of personal Mandela Effects.

Dr. Tony Jinks is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Social Science and Psychology, Western Sydney University, NSW, Australia. Tony is the President, Australian Institute of Parapsychological Research. He has a background in Neuroscience and has published in the field of neuroscience, perception, parapsychology and paranormal belief and experience.

JOTT and Jottles Typology

Barrington’s typology for what we now know as personal Mandela Effects and reality shifts and what she called “Just One of Those Things” or JOTT or jottles includes:

Flyaways – objects vanish
Turn-Ups – objects appear
Windfalls – objects appear that were not previously yours
Comebacks – objects reappear after having disappeared
Walkabout – something comes back, but not where you left it
Trade-Ins – something has been traded for what you’d previously had

Barrington attributes the JOTT phenomenon to being related to Cosmic Mind, and recognizes that these experiences are relatively widespread, and have been around for quite a long time.

DOP Typology

Australian psychology professor and author Dr. Tony Jink’s typology for what we now know as personal Mandela Effects and reality shifts and what he calls Disappearing Object Phenomena (DOP), involving 385 case studies that he finds convincing, trustworthy, and reliable  Dr. Tony Jinks gave a 2017 talk in which he specifically rules out that experiencers of Disappearing Object Phenomena are psychologically distinguishable from non-experiencers.  That is to say that experiencers are not suffering from such possible psychological issues as:  transcience; telescoping; errors of commission (suggestibility, illusionary correlation, confirmation bias); perceptual blindness (ie: inattentional blindness); altered states of consciousness (hallucinations, autohypnosis); encoding errors (“absent mindedness”);  memory distortion (pre-existing beliefs); and loose associationism.  Typology of DOP includes:

Disappearances – like Barrington’s Flyaways
Appearances – like Barrington’s Turn-Ups and Windfalls
Reappearances – like Barrington’s Comebacks and Walkabouts
Replacement – equivalent to Barrington’s Trade-In

Jinks notes that DOP events are isolated incidents–they are discontinuities.  Jinks contemplates possible causes of DOP such as:  invisibility; teleportation and/or wormholes; parallel universes;  dimensional shifts; external agents; and human-centered causes (such as witnessed in psychokinetic abilities, for example).  Jinks’ favored explanation is human-centered causes, unwittingly caused by the experiment themselves, for various obscure subconscious reasons.  Jinks recognizes that these DOP incidents are characterized by a quality of Seamlessness, and he therefore likes the idea of conscious observation (by multiple consciousness states) that are responsible for ‘collapsing reality,’ so we have the consensual reality we have now, such that the new situation appears as if it has always been that way.

Reality Shifts & Personal Mandela Effect Typology

Those of us who have been communicating and conversing about personal Mandela Effects and reality shifts note the general categories suggested by Barrington and Jinks.  After more than 20 years of collecting hundreds of first-hand reports of reality shifts from around the world on the http://www.realityshifters.com website, we expand the typology to include:

Disappearances – like Barrington’s Flyaways
Appearances – like Barrington’s Turn-Ups and Windfalls, including buildings
Reappearances – like Barrington’s Comebacks and Walkabouts
Transformations – equivalent to Barrington’s Trade-In & Jinks’ Replacement, plus changes in body physiology (hair, eye color) and healing
Changes in experience of Time – time loops, traveling fast, meeting future self
Alive Again – people previously reported deceased are alive
Teleportation/Tunneling – people & objects teleported past or through objects
Synchronicity – events align meaningfully

Well worth note is the observation reality shifts and personal Mandela Effect often go far beyond a simple matter of ‘objects gone missing’ and there is, in fact, an awareness that some large objects–such as buildings, mountains and trees–have been noticed to have disappeared, appeared, reappeared and transformed.  Many people are witnessing changes to the human physiology and anatomy–such as repositioning of the heart and kidneys.  Some people notice we are now in a different part of the Milky Way galaxy, such as Orion, instead of Sagittarius.

As always, I encourage all of us to keep asking my favorite question, “How good can it get?”

Boggling delayed choice participatory universe, horoscopes, and Mandela Effects

Boggling delayed choice participatory universe

When I play the game Boggle with friends, we’ve often been amazed at the way we find some words so consistently.  Sometimes for three consecutive games in a row, we might find the same word, such as “toe” for example.  While playing Boggle via email over the internet during this pandemic, my friends and I noted that there seemed to be a subconscious awareness of health and coronavirus topics–which perhaps comes as not too much of a surprise.

I also noticed that some of the words that I was finding had some kind of fire theme going on.  I figured of course, living in California, fire safety is on my mind with regard to keeping dead woods cleared out of the garden, and getting on top of weed and grass abatement, too.  When noticing the times that my friends and I find the same word for three or four games in a row–that’s so amazing to me when it happens, since it seems to indicate those words might always be there–or perhaps more accurately, it’s our shared expectation of finding them that ensures those words reality shift their way into each and every game.

Physicist John Archibald Wheeler asserted that we live in a Participatory universe, in which the measurements we choose to make, truly matter.  Wheeler also proposed a series of experiments to test the notion that light somehow “senses” the experimental apparatus in the double-slit experiment it travels through, and adjusts its behavior to fit.  While Wheeler’s musings were constrained to laboratory settings only, many of us observing such things as mysteriously recurring Boggle words might well wonder to what degree quantum physics is involved in our regular daily lives.

Participatory personalized horoscopes

Some of us might have already taken a similar look at the accuracy of some horoscopes–or pretty much any kind of intuitive divination system (such as the I Ching or Tarot cards), which can be uncannily specific.  From a quantum physics-operating-in-daily-life point of view, we can consider the idea that the horoscope actually might be tailor-written just for you and me, just for that exact moment when we read it.

I don’t expect the horoscope was written once, and then read the same by everyone at all.  This is such a good example of why individuals can believe in ‘silly things’ such as astrology, when subjective reality rules the universe!  If and when we compare notes with one another, we force an observed system to comply with our chosen entanglement–and at that point, the wave functions can again collapse.  I’d expect those cases of increased entanglement to ‘force the collapse’ of the wave function in such a way that some people would actually notice these reality shifts, with some of their horoscopes changing right before their very eyes.

I expect that is what is occurring with many reality shifts and Mandela Effects—it’s a natural matter of increasing the number of groups of people all ‘comparing notes’ about various observations, and Nature making corrections to bring alignment and agreement of ‘the facts’ to match ever-increasing numbers of populations of people coming to take a look at some particular thing.  Whether that thing is Boggle board, that day’s horoscope in the newspaper, or a brand logo or name, all the increased number of observers is bound to make a difference, and certain to lead to some observed shifts in reality.

All of this, of course, can remind us to keep asking my favorite question, “How good can it get?”

The Virus, Memory, Mandela Effect connection

Human memory came from an ancient virus

We can glean amazing insights from viewing the way memories and viruses work–and the extraordinary relationship between viruses, memory, and miracles–at this time when neurologists say that our memories come from an ancient virus.

An international collaboration of researchers from the University of Utah, the University of Copenhagen, and the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in the UK discovered something surprising about a protein called Arc, which is essential to long-term memory formation.  It seems that some 350-400 million years ago, an ancestor to the retrovirus, the retrotransposon, injected its genetic material into a land-based, four-limbed creature, leading to the development of the Arc protein.  Scientists have been amazed to discover that it has very similar properties to how a virus infects its host  stating in their article in Cell,

“The neuronal gene Arc is essential for long-lasting information storage in the mammalian brain, mediates various forms of synaptic plasticity, and has been implicated in neurodevelopmental disorders,” and, “little is known about Arc’s molecular function and evolutionary origins.”  [Pastuzyn 2018]

Using electro-microscopy, scientists realized that the way Arc assembles itself appears very similar to the way the HIV retrovirus operates.

The Arc protein behaves like a virus and serves as the platform allowing neurons to communicate with one another.  Scientists found that mice lacking the Arc protein had difficulty remembering things they had learned within one day’s time, and their brains lacked plasticity–where the brain can easily absorb new knowledge and skills.  Arc behaves like a viral capsid–like a hard, outer shell which is hollow inside and carries a virus’s genetic information from one cell to another.  Arc mimics viral capsids by encapsulating its RNA in order to transfer it from one neuron to another.

Evolving with viruses

Virologists are noticing how the original novel coronavirus, covid-19, almost immediately mutated into three different strains, and within a few weeks was observed by scientists in Iceland to have over 400 mutated versions, eight strains of which have been found to be infecting humans globally at this time.

The SARS-CoV-2 virus is a betacoronavirus, like the SARS and MERS coronavirus, with a structure that is recognized by cell biologists as being 80% similar.  While coronaviruses had once been considered to only affect birds and mammals, the SARS, MERS, and COVID-19 epidemics have demonstrated that this virus family can jump species barriers, and spread to humans.

Author William S. Burroughs theorized that words and language represent a type of virus that transformed the throats of humans who spoke those words.  Author Philip K. Dick commented in “The Selected Letters of PKD, 1980-1982” on William S. Burroughs consideration of the existence of some kind of information virus:

“I cannot accept Burroughs’ view that we have been invaded by an alien virus, an information virus, yet on the other hand I cannot readily dismiss this bizarre theory as mere paranoia on his part.  I think he is onto something real and important, and that his statements do more good–far more good–than harm (that is, he states the problem correctly, although perhaps his analysis of the cause is faulty; still, merely to be aware of the problem is to achieve a great deal).  Now, I have been able to find accounts in ancient times of what seems to be a thinking or perceptual dysfunction or perhaps the thinking or perceptual dysfunction.
…Burroughs may have indeed detected an “information virus” or something like an information virus, but my supposition is that, if you grant its existence, it is of long-standing.  World mythology supports this.  Not just Christian.
Where Burroughs and I sharply disagree is that my supposition is that if–if–and information life form exists (and this is indeed a bizarre and wild supposition), it is benign; it does not occlude us; on the contrary: it informs us (or perhaps it has no interest in doing either, but simply rides our own information traffic, using our media as a carrier; that is entirely possible.  That I myself saw this living information in the spring of 1974 is not something I wish to claim; on the other hand, I will not deny it. The issue is important, vital, and also elusive.  If you grant an occluding information virus, are you not then yourself occluded in your very analysis of it, as well as your perception of its existence?  There is a paradox involved.  I’m sure you can see that.”

Mandela Effect-affected memories

Much of who we see ourselves to be comes from our memories of who we think we are, and the stories we believe we are living in.  Without long-term memories, we’d eternally be in the moment, free from expectations of ourselves or others, and likely devoid of much in the way of long-term plans.

How fascinating, now, to realize that our very sense of self, and ability to have long-term memories comes thanks to an ancient virus.  Scientists note that:

“Eukaryotic genomes are littered with DNA of viral or transposon origin, which compose about half of most mammalian genomes.”  [Smit, 1999]

When it comes to the Mandela Effect, many of us recall different historical events as well as differences in just about everything in existence including:  human physiology, plants, animals, books, foods, movies, music, names, places, buildings, aircraft, cars, and more.  Clearly we are still finding fundamental processes by which information storage in the brain operates, and we have yet to discover biological mechanisms supporting our ability to witness reality shifts, Mandela Effects, quantum jumps, and miraculous changes.  When we look at Nature through a quantum lens, we can see evidence that natural systems are capable of such seemingly impossible achievements such as:  organism mutations within a single generation of bacteria; astonishingly high efficiencies of operation seen in photosynthesis; amazingly accurate navigation of robins; and perfect synchronization of starlings in flight.  We can gain from such observation insights into the rich mystery of mind-matter interaction, guiding further investigations with my favorite question:  “How good can it get?”

Thriving in the time of coronavirus

Cynthia Sue LarsonHow to thrive in the time of coronavirus

This current coronavirus situation has changed many aspects of daily life overnight, and at times has looked like a war zone, in terms of casualties–yet even the time of coronavirus, it can be possible to thrive.

Never before have so many humans been doing the same thing at the same time–ceasing regular daily work commutes, and staying confined to home for the foreseeable future.  People on every continent and country now share a common intention to slow, stop, and reverse the rapid spread of a novel coronavirus around the globe.  Thanks to the internet, it is possible for most of us to stay in communication with others, and succeed in rapidly modifying our social behaviors and lives.

level upHumanity has survived similar pandemics that have arisen almost like clockwork once every hundred years.  Our most recent was the Spanish flu, prevalent around 1920.  During this pandemic, we are better able to try a variety of approaches to dealing with the challenge, including washing hands, wearing face masks, working from home via the internet, bolstering our immune systems with good nutrition, and practicing social distancing.

Perhaps most remarkably, we are now living in an extraordinary time of collaboration–for sharing resources, ideas, and ingenuity.  We humans are all in this together, coming up with our best way to get through this pandemic together, even though we may be physically isolated.  We can still brainstorm and collaborate, side-by-side.  We can notice what is working well in each region and nation, and learn how we can make use of all aspects of what seems to be working well–both for our physical health and financial well-being.  This is a time to share information, share ideas, share resources, and think about how good things can get–rather than getting hung up on aspects of other cultures that don’t work for us.  There is much to be learned here–and there is much we can share.

Why is this happening?

I don’t know that any of us can say with absolute certainty why we are experiencing this, but that doesn’t stop us from wondering.

This year, 2020, feels to me like an especially interesting year of communication between Nature and humanity.  Some point out it feels like Nature has sent us to our rooms, to think about what we’ve done.  Others point out this is an opportunity for humanity to move into more harmonious balance with Nature–to move more into receptive, Yin/feminine ways of being, and out of such dynamic Yang/masculine ways of being.

Henry Stapp and Cynthia Sue Larson

Henry Stapp & Cynthia Sue Larson

Some suggest we are receiving an answer to some kind of unspoken question.  Physicists such as John Archibald Wheeler and Henry Stapp remind us that when we ask questions, Nature answers.  And if the answer we are collectively receiving is this novel coronavirus, we might well now wonder, “What was the question?”  When we view this as a year of experiencing  “an act of communicating divine truth”–which is the definition of ‘revelation,’ according to Miriam Webster–we gain a sense that something new is being revealed to humanity at this time.We are experiencing a time when natural forces are slowing human busy-ness and business, resulting in people spending more time at home with families and in nature.  We are experiencing a shared sense of solidarity and community across great distances and time zones, thanks to availability of the internet.  We are being given an opportunity to better appreciate everyone and everything we truly love in this collective “time out.”  And perhaps most importantly, we’re being given an opportunity to experience a Great Awakening.

How can we thrive amidst a global pandemic?

We cannot bend Nature to our demands in this time of Great Awakening.  The single most important thing we can do is view unfolding events through the eyes of love, not fear.  We can recognize that we choose when and how and what we pay attention to, and that we can (and do) have the ability to literally change the world.  Those of us who have been meditating regularly can share calm compassion through our every word and action.  Those of us who have faith can share our awareness that there exists something bigger than each of us, and that by finding ways to best serve others, we can feel the greatest sense of joy imaginable.

Some people wonder what best to do while waiting for the storm of contagion to swirl through our communities.  As a matter of fact, there is.  Focus your attention on whatever news you can find that is positive and uplifting.  And if you can’t find any positive news, go out and make some of your own.  Find some way to help someone else, and even the smallest positive act can serve to help pull you up by your proverbial bootstraps.

The world appears very different to caterpillars than butterflies

Some of the concerns voiced by various authors sound off to me, when they emphasize the significance of dark forces and such.  I view “the powers that be” to be divine God and angelic forces, which I view as always being in charge.  I view this time of Great Awakening to be a time of discernment with regard to our true sovereign nature–to acknowledge within each of ourselves that we are divine beings, and that all our gifts always come from God.  Discernment brings us an unfolding awareness and sense that our true selves are much bigger than we typically realize.  We are capable, through meditation, for example, to begin to notice that we can observe our thoughts and feelings, and that therefore we are the Observer of those thoughts and feelings–one level higher–and not our thoughts and feelings (just automatons, on autopilot).

And during this time of coronavirus-coccooning, sheltering inside and staying ‘healthy at home,’ many who are accustomed to living lives on autopilot are experiencing a bit of rest from mindless consumption–with possibility for meditative contemplation.  And much like caterpillars transforming into butterflies, many now have new opportunities to rise above old assumptions of limitations and constraints.

Master our minds

Everything can be viewed as a lesson; every experience can be considered as presenting an opportunity. Challenging times provide us with opportunities to master our mind, and envision the possibility that the Universe is with us every step of the way.

Most of those of use who are M.E.-affected are aware of multiple timelines. Just as the parable about “which wolf do you feed,” we now can choose which timeline(s) we support. In quantum physics language, we are aware that there is not just one ‘objective’ reality, but rather subjective reality (“Physics experiment challenges objective reality“). So different observers can literally be at the same place and same time and witness different events. That’s how Nature is showing us she works.

This time of the coronavirus presents us with a unique opportunity to listen deeply to our authentic gut feelings, heart-felt emotions, and where our ‘random’ thoughts may go–since how we integrate between these various levels of being makes a tremendous difference in how we channel universal energies through us, and what we subsequently physically realize.  When we are integrated, and choosing to observe the world through the lens of love, not fear, we can rise above victim consciousness and master creator consciousness.

Victim / Regular Dreaming Consciousness

Victim/Regular Dreaming Consciousness corresponds to such beliefs as, “I have limited resources and limited personal power.  Things happen to me beyond my control.  I must fight for control at all costs, while fixing blame externally, in order to survive.  I can prove that wrongdoing has occurred and that I have been unfairly injured by unfolding events.  There exists real and present danger and great potential future threats that I am fearful of.”

Creator / Lucid Dreaming Consciousness

Creator/Lucid Dreaming Consciousness corresponds to such beliefs as, “I am intrinsically connected to others in ways that cannot be measured, yet which are the basis for meaning, value, and purpose in my life.  I can cross the threshold from Egoic fearfulness into my greater identity, when acknowledging that I am not my thoughts and feelings–I am the Observer of thoughts and feelings.  And as the Observer, I can choose in every experience how I respond.”

Raise consciousness with Mandela Effect Revelations

Most everyone on the planet is now aware that this year is like no other.  Humanity has dealt with pandemics before, such as Cholera, and the Spanish flu of a hundred years ago.  But this time, perhaps for the first time, people all around the world are sharing the collective experience of sheltering at home.

What was the question?

This year, 2020, feels to me like an especially interesting year of communication between Nature and humanity.  Physicists such as John Archibald Wheeler and Henry Stapp remind us that when we ask questions, Nature answers.  And if the answer we are collectively receiving is this novel coronavirus, we might well now wonder, “What was the question?”

If we view this year as being a year of experiencing revelation–a year of experiencing “an act of communicating divine truth,” which is the definition of ‘revelation’ according to Miriam Webster.

IMEC 2020:  Please watch and share new video shorts!

Now that billions of people are focusing attention on prayer and meditation, 2020 is turning out to be a year when the majority of people on Earth are beginning to realize both a sense of deeper connection, and a dawning of awakened consciousness. When people wonder about how weird this year feels, and begin to wonder about the true nature of reality, they will start seeing reality shifts and Mandela Effects.

This year’s IMEC conference is live-streaming for free from Connecticut in the USA the weekend of June 5th-7th.  Fifteen speakers will be presenting insights into “Revelations of the Mandela Effect”:

Regina Meredith is our keynote speaker at this year’s IMEC event planned to livestream free on the internet the first weekend of June 2020.  Other speakers include:  Christopher Anatra (“the Quantum Businessman”); Sean Bond; author Eileen Colts; author Nicole DeMario; author Dale DuFay; Canadian artist Kimberly Lynn Hanson; Jerry Hicks (“DarkWolf”); Cynthia Sue Larson; Akronos Mago; Evan Maitraia (“moneybags73”); Eva Nie (“Once Upon a Timeline”); author Lauren Connell Pavelka; author Jan Engels-Smith, and author Shane Robinson (“Unbiased and on the Fence”).

Your many levels of mind holds key to selecting realities

Each of us is capable of awareness of levels of self, and the ability to choose the level of self by which we observe the Cosmos.  This power of subjective observation may seem obvious and may seem mundane, yet it holds the keys to mind-matter interaction at all levels of reality.  So you might say your power of subjective observation holds the keys to reality itself.

Awareness that at an ultimate level, the only actions of substances are changes of perceptions is philosophical, and this was a matter of great interest to the philosopher Leibniz.  Leibniz viewed apperception as “consciousness, or the reflective knowledge of this internal state.” He adds that this is “something not given to all souls, nor at all times to a given soul.”  Some consider Leibniz to be the grandfather of artificial intelligence, since he conceived of human cognition in computational terms, with human cognitive processes following determinable axioms of logic.

This skill of being self-aware can be further developed through meditation.  We can learn that we are not those thoughts nor those feelings.  For example, we can meditate to gain the ability to learn to see our thoughts and feelings go by, like clouds in the sky.

We can practice identifying with being the Observer of those thoughts and feelings–more like the Driver in a car, the Captain of a ship, or the Pilot in a plane.  For those of us who are spiritually oriented, we can experience a difference between our daily, egoic self–the one concerned about personal safety and experiencing various kinds of pain–and our infinite, eternal Self.

This is also where things get interesting, thanks to the Observer Effect.

Observer Effect

In quantum physics, the observer effect is the principle that an observer’s choice of when, where, and how to make a given observation absolutely influences what is subsequently observed.  Scientific experiments confirmed in 2019 that two observers watching the same event at the same place and time are absolutely capable of witnessing two different things, as I previously described, in my blog post:  physics experiment challenges objective reality.

Our decision of how we choose to observe can be viewed as asking Nature a question, as physicist John Archibald Wheeler surmised.

Value of Subjective Reality

In most cases where we notice a reality shift or Mandela effect, we remember a distinctively different event or thing than is now accepted as being historically true. We do not typically recall several different realities, but usually just one or possibly two.  There appears to be a tendency for most people observing reality shifts and Mandela Effects to be aware of binary (two-option) scenarios. For example, some people remember first hearing of Nelson Mandela’s death while he was incarcerated in prison in the 1980s–while others first remember hearing of his death in December 2013.  Another example is that some people remember the Star Wars character, Darth Vader, saying “Luke, I am your father”–while others recall him saying, “No, I am your father.”  There also exist some examples of Mandela effects and reality shifts where more than two realities are recalled.  One such example appears in the case of the restaurant chain Chick-Fil-A, which some people recall having previously either being:  Chic-Fil-A or Chik-Fil-A.

Our Many Minds

Our assumption that each one of us exists as a unified individual may not be true.  Carl Jung once said, “The so-called unity of consciousness is an illusion… we like to think that we are one, but we are not.”  George Ivanovich Gurdjieff emphasized the point that man has no single big “I”; man is divided into a multiplicity of small “I’s.”

Carl Jung adopted an intriguing theory of personality, no doubt influenced by his observation of a young cousin who had multiple personality disorder.

“When Carl Jung was still a university student in Basel, he was intrigued by the behavior of a female cousin aged fifteen and a half who began to exhibit signs of multiple personality.  She would become suddenly pale, sink slowly to the ground (or a chair), then begin to speak in a manner completely unlike her everyday self. Instead of her usual Swiss dialect, she spoke literary German in a smooth and assured manner.  Various spirits claimed to speak through her mouth,* and her mannerisms changed completely as different ones ‘took over.’”  Of the “various spirits” that spoke through her, Colin Wilson tells us, “One of them claimed to be her grandfather who had been a banal and sanctimonious clergyman.  Another was an inane chatterer who flirted with the ladies who came to the ‘séances.’  Another, who claimed to be a nobleman, was an amusing gossip who spoke High German with a North German accent.”   Jung observed that when his cousin held séances, she took on a countenance quite different from her normal appearance and manner: “She could talk so seriously, so forcefully and convincingly, that one almost had to ask oneself: Is this really a girl of fifteen and a half?  One had the impression that a mature woman was being acted out with considerable dramatic talent.”  Jung took detailed notes at the séances, and later—after studying with Pierre Janet in Paris in 1902—expanded them into the doctoral thesis he wrote for his medical degree.  In Jung’s first published work he wrote, “on the subpersonalities and other dissociative phenomena produced by his psychic cousin during her mediumistic séances.”  (Colin Wilson, “Mysteries”)

Jung observed that the tendency to split into various aspects of psyche is not merely a matter of psychopathology, but indeed occurs in normal people, too.   While typically unobserved, complexes can behave like independent beings–like aspects of ourselves with ‘minds of their own.’  Most of us recognize that we adopt various personas, which we is an expression of our ego, rather than our true self.  Problems can occur if we overly-identify with a persona (or mask) over true genuine feelings about who we are. .

Neuropsychologist Roger Wolcott Sperry won the Nobel Prize in 1981 for discoveries concerning functional specialization in the two hemispheres of our brain.  Sperry noticed that patients with split-brain syndrome experienced one side of their body operating separately from the other.  In rare cases, a kind of split personality or dual consciousness has been observed for indivduals with split-brain syndrome, with each brain hemisphere and side of the body responding very differently from the other.  These differences are most dramatic in cases where the two hemispheres are not connected normally through the corpus callosum, but differences between the two hemispheres exist in all of us.  For most people, the left hemisphere of the brain excels at language while the right is better at recognizing images.

Our split brains employ a dual approach to simultaneously appraising situations according to two very different approaches; one very goal-based and rational, and the other more intuitive. While we typically consider ourselves to be of one mind operating with unified conscious agency, this sensation is illusory.  In much the same way that our minds work to give us the impression that sounds we hear coincide with sights we see, our minds usually provide us with a sensation that each of us naturally are of one mind.

Reality Selection

Thanks to the amazing power of the Observer Effect, we are capable of selecting which type of Observer we wish to be, among a multitude of possibilities.

“Yesterday” movie explores world without the Beatles

What if the Beatles didn’t exist?

What would the world be like without the music of the Beatles?  I’ve been looking forward to seeing the new movie that raises this question called Yesterday, since several people told me this past month that it featured reality shifts and the Mandela effect.

Imagining a world without the Beatles might seem impossible, but that’s exactly where Yesterday’s lead character, Jack Malik, goes when he gets hit by a bus while riding his bicycle at the exact moment when a worldwide power failure plunges the  streets into pitch-black darkness.  This moment presents Jack with an extraordinary opportunity to bring forth ‘brand-new’ songs.

Feel-good romantic comedy

Watching Yesterday was fun from the point of view of a feel-good romantic comedy summer movie.  Once I realized that this movie would not be delving into thoughts about the nature of reality, quantum consciousness, or why it seemed that only a few people in the entire world still remembered the most popular music group of all time–it was fun to watch.

I enjoyed the actors and romantic story line, and appreciated the numerous Beatles songs and some of the famous locations inspiring some songs.  I especially loved watching Jack Malik, the main character, racking his brains to remember as clearly as possible what all the songs the Beatles ever wrote.   Himesh Patel did a great job playing the role of Jack Malik, and Lily James was super as Jack’s first manager and childhood friend, Ellie.  Kate McKinnon balanced beautifully on the razor-thin line between comedic and terrifying, as Jack’s Los Angeles business manager.

More questions than answers

I was disappointed when the film’s characters showed little to no interest in exploring why the entire world had suddenly completely forgotten about the musical group the Beatles. This kind of reality shift has not (yet!) occurred; typically Mandela effects involve small changes to bits of movie dialogue, passages in books, product names, and dates of death. I’d have loved to see a more realistic portrayal of the Mandela effect and reality shifts, with some groups of individuals remembering some things, and others remembering something else–yet that was outside the scope of this movie.

I found it especially surprising that not only were the Beatles (as a musical group) gone, but so was J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series of books, Coca-Cola, and cigarettes. Even any one of these things being gone is beyond what’s happened to date with the Mandela effect, let alone all four of them–so this movie felt more unrealistic than it needed or probably intended to be.  Most Mandela effects and reality shifts to date don’t so much involve world-famous products, music and stories completely vanishing, as small changes happening here and there and everywhere.

This movie was great for all Beatles fans, and a good introduction to the Mandela effect and reality shifts for the general public.

Mandela Effects, Reality Shifts and Recursion by Blake Crouch

Can implanted memories create new realities?

Blake Crouch’s new book, Recursion is a fast-paced thriller that explores how new memories might be implanted in humans, might create reality.

Studies published in 2015 showed that new memories were implanted in mice while they sleep.  Karim Benchenane and colleagues at the Industrial Physics and Chemistry Higher Educational Institution in Paris, France targeted place cells in mice.  Researchers monitored ‘place cells’ in mice that fire in response to being in or thinking about a specific place, while mice walked in an enclosed area. Later, when the mice slept, researchers recognized when specific place cells fired–and at the exact moment when those neurons activated, stimulated brain areas associated with rewards in the sleeping mice.  When the mice awoke, they walked directly to places newly associated with rewards.

In Recursion, Blake Crouch invites us to contemplate what would happen if we had access to technology that could allow us to go back and relive moments in our lives–this time doing something differently.  Could we benefit from having access to the ability to get do-overs?  Might changes in what we remember influence all of reality?

False Memory Syndrome (FMS)

Within the world-view of Recursion, there is a phenomenon called “False Memory Syndrome,” or FMS. Characters collectively and simultaneously recall other parallel possible ‘time-lines’ or reality paths.  This occurs when someone re-remembers an event from the past utilizing a technological ‘chair’ device.  While an individual experiencing a revised memory literally ‘goes back in time’ to experience reliving their life that is now slightly different from what ‘actually occurred’  as a younger version of themselves, the rest of the world also gets ‘reset’ to that previous point in time, and then begins rolling forward in time.  In Recursion, only the person who goes back in time has the ability to consciously revise history, since during their ‘do-over’ they are the one who knows what might have been that is now being changed.

Differences between ‘Recursion’ and Real Life

While ‘Recursion’ uses the term ‘reality shift’ throughout the story, with frequent mention of Mandela effects, these reality shifts are not exactly the same as what I have seen.  The reality shifts and Mandela Effects in “Recursion’ operate as one-agreed-upon-objective-reality, rather than the subjective (not always in agreement) realities that starting this year in 2019 are beginning to be experimentally proven in quantum physics laboratory tests. Subjective reality is at the very heart of reality shifts and Mandela Effects, such that not everyone agrees upon any given reality shift, including the one involving Nelson Mandela that the Mandela effect was named after.

‘Recursion’ requires some kind of technology to operate in order for someone’s memories–and thus all of reality–to be changed.  While some might argue that technology must be responsible for the Mandela effect and reality shifts, there are those of us who recognize evidence of humanity’s experiences with reality shifts going back to the dawn of human civilization, and beyond.

Physics Experiment Challenges Objective Reality

Scientific experimental research published in 2019 provides evidence that observers can witness the same event differently:  two people can observe the exact same event, see two different things happen, and both be correct.  Scientists Massimiliano Proietti at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and Caslav Brukner at the University of Vienna, Austria provide real-world evidence that two observers who are unaware of each other’s observations and measurements occurring at exactly the same physical place and time can witness two completely different realities.  The implication is that our assumptions of ‘one shared objective reality’ is inaccurate.  The experience of subjective realities match and reflect what experiencers of reality shifts and Mandela effects actually witness.

We appear to be witnessing numerous examples in Nature of subjective realities, which thanks to our long-standing bias of presuming objective reality has gone mostly unnoticed so far.  A newfound recognition of the presence of quantum logic operating as the larger ‘universal set’ with a smaller, simpler subset of Boolean logic and classical physics operating within seems to be closer to the truth of how reality operates.

Can We Get Do-Overs?

Many people ask me how they can get some kind of do-over–some way to go back in time and relive past events, to ensure they play out differently.  While technology is now being developed that can connect our memories with new feelings–such as rewarding feelings–I’ve not yet seen any indicators of people re-living their lives over the course of many days, weeks, months, or years.  We certainly can reset our emotional state of mind (with or without technology to assist), but these resets are not (yet!) literally taking us back to be younger versions of ourselves all over again.

Memories Create Reality

Recursion did get point us in a fascinating and quite probably right direction:  memories likely do have causative influence on physical reality.  Those who’ve experienced some of the most profound reality shifts and Mandela Effects often witness reality shifts in keeping with what is needed and required–along the lines of what author PMH Atwater calls Future Memory.  By recognizing that we can–and often do–connect with memories of possible futures and pasts, we can align ourselves with these other possible realities, and literally step out of one sequence of events into another.  We thus do not so much ‘relive’ past experiences as walk between worlds, as I describe in my book, Reality Shifts.

Wisdom Bites: Listen to Intuition and Feel Intrinsic Goodness

Wisdom Bite:
Listen to Intuition and Feel Intrinsic Goodness

Why Tune Intuition?

We can benefit from tuning our intuition to experience a sense of intrinsic goodness and divine consciousness. With positively-tuned intuition, we can more clearly recognize how best to solve problems, make decisions, and make plans.  We can also gain a heightened sense of purpose, meaning, value and connection in our lives.

In western society, intuition receives less public acclaim and recognition than rational logic.  Greater respect and admiration given to logical, Boolean ways of thinking than intuitive impressions and insights.  Intuition is often viewed as ‘mere luck’.

Happiness is Found in the Unmeasurables

Ironically, those who base their lives more on measurables are not happier than those who focus primarily on unmeasurables.  You can test this for yourself by writing a list on one side of a piece of things people live for that are measurable.  On the other side, write down things people love that are unmeasurable.  Things we can measure include: amounts of money, cars, houses, and other tangible stuff.  Unmeasurables include:  love, purpose, meaning and other intangibles.  When the lists are complete, ask yourself whether you are happier with the measurables or the unmeasurables.

Our intuition can help us stay on track with the intangibles, and help us realize more fulfilled, joyful lives.  The intuitive mind can thus be viewed as a sacred gift, and the rational mind works well as an excellent faithful servant.  All great discoveries and inventions–and all great relationships–spring forth from intuitive, rather than logical, thought.  And intuitive thinking is aligned with non-measurable feelings of purpose, meaning, and emotions such as love and gratitude.

Strengthen Intuition

You can listen more deeply to intuition by spending quiet time in nature, without goals or activities, just being in an observational state of mind.  You can also pay attention to your dreams upon awakening.  I find it helpful to meditate on my intention to receive messages in dreams before I go to sleep.  Meditation can also be a powerful way to strengthen intuition.  I enjoy many types of meditation, such as clearing my mind meditation, and walking meditation.

Connect with Intrinsic Goodness

When you listen, you may be surprised by unexpected information, thoughts, feelings and ideas that come through.  Some may be helpful, but you might notice some–such as fears–do not seem so helpful.  We can rise above fears by regaining our to connection with intrinsic goodness.  You can tell by how fearful you are feeling how well you are connecting with a sense of intrinsic goodness at the heart of everything.  You can reconnect with intrinsic goodness by remembering evidence of it in your life, such as with beloved pets or family members, or in nature.

The more attention you pay to what you are most grateful for, the better you can recognize how much more there is to feel deeply grateful for.  You can feel such depth of gratitude for every blessing in your life that you enter into a state of reverence–of divine bliss.  Such blissful joy is not dependent on external situations, and is available at any time, wherever you are.

I Just Learned I Died in Another Reality

One of the most astonishing types of reality shifts is the Alive Again phenomenon, in which someone is witnessed as being alive after having previously been reported dead.  And without a doubt, the most stunning type of Alive Again experience is one in which you yourself are the person that people heard had died–and this year was the first time I heard from someone reporting that I had died–fortunately to come back and be Alive Again!

I’ve researched numerous cases of people being reported dead, only later to be witnessed very much alive, with one of the earliest reports being that of the actor Larry Hagman, who was an actor playing the role of J.R. Ewing in the popular TV show, “Dallas,” that I seldom watched, and the much earlier TV show “I Dream of Jeannie” that I viewed more often.  I include my recollection of Hagman having been reported dead and then being very much alive again in my book, Reality Shifts: When Consciousness Changes the Physical World, as well as my experience seeing my roommate’s dead cat very much alive again. Here is the excerpt from my book about Larry Hagman:

“I saw an article in a newspaper reporting Larry Hagman’s death in 1997, and a couple of months later saw him starring in a new show.  I’d been only peripherally aware of Hagman’s career, and hadn’t closely followed the original news stories discussing his life work and circumstances of his death.  I had no idea he’d be alive again later on!  I discovered in autumn 1998 Larry Hagman had not died, but had undergone a liver transplant!  I marveled at how this could be.

Ashes in 1983

My first Alive Again experience occurred in the 1980’s when my neighbor’s cat, Ashes, was run over by a car and killed… only to appear in my backyard a couple of weeks later!  I was flabbergasted, to say the least.  My husband reacted normally at first to seeing the cat, until I reminded him, “Ashes DIED a couple of weeks ago!”  My husband rubbed his chin and recalled more details, without any prompts from me.  “Oh, yeah… he was hit by a car, wasn’t he?”  I spent an hour petting and talking with Ashes, since I never thought I’d see him again after he’d died.  He had previously kept himself immaculately groomed (prior to being alive again), and he was a bit scruffier and greasier, as if he’d suddenly become a bit arthritic, and now had trouble washing himself and keeping his fur as fluffy and attractive as he had before.  I’d heard from my roommate that Ashes had died, after having been hit by a car, when I’d asked her where he was.  I had been living in the same house with that roommate, Kathryn, and her cat Ashes, for many years, and then had moved directly across the street, where I’d been delighted to continue getting to visit with Ashes most every day.  It occurs to me that having a bit of distance between my old apartment where I’d lived in the same house with Ashes, and my new apartment across the street may have provided just enough of a gap by which I could experience Kathryn telling me why I was no longer seeing Ashes come to visit in my garden–and then a couple of weeks later, be astonished to see Ashes alive again!

How I Received News of My Death

Imagine my surprise when I received an email this past month from someone named Steve, who said he had a very unusual experience that he wanted to share with me:

Hi Cynthia,

I have an unusual story to tell you in regard to the Mandela Effect. My name is Steve Boucher and I’m from St.Catharines, Ontario.  I’m 63.  I have had several occurrences of the Mandela Effect in my life over the years, but none like the most recent one.  I watched your interview with Regina Meredith on Gaia TV and have been a fan of your work for a while now.  Shortly after the interview with Regina, I decided to visit your Facebook page to learn more.  Upon arriving at your Facebook page, I was greeted with a message from your husband stating that he regretted to inform us that you had passed away and that you had been ill for quite a while.  I was shocked to read this news and immediately responded offering my condolences.  I remember feeling this great sadness come over me, as I had very much enjoyed your work.

A month or so later, I noticed a new video of yours on YouTube and was amazed to see that it was a recent video.  Then I started to notice more recent videos popping up on YouTube. It didn’t take me long to realize that you were still alive!  I realized then, that I must have shifted to a different timeline in which you had not passed away.  I knew then, that I had to write to you and tell you this story, as strange as it sounds.  I am grateful to have shifted to a timeline in which you are alive and continuing to bring videos to the public about the Mandela Effect and time shifting.  Hope you don’t think I’m crazy. I just had to tell you.

My response to Steve’s email was:

Wow–that is a DOOZY of a reality shift!  I am so glad you and I are both today in a reality where I am alive and well–and no, I don’t think you’re crazy.  This is the first time I’ve heard from someone reporting that they’d seen believable evidence that I’d died, and then seen me alive again, yet it does bring to mind another related type of reality shift. I’ve heard from people who tell me that they are certain I did not exist previously in their experienced realities, since if I did, they would surely have come across my website and YouTube videos, yet I had not.

I’ve been interviewed twice now by Regina Meredith for GaiaTV, most recently with a show about high energy money that aired in early 2019.  Since you are writing to me about this matter this year in 2019, am I correct in surmising that my death after long illness that you experienced was this year, in 2019?  I’m also curious if you recall any other details.

I then received Steve’s response in reply:

I don’t think I’ve seen the new high energy money video with Regina yet. I think this was shortly after the previous video you did with her. Although, it was in 2019 that I noticed this. I find in most of my observations of the Mandela Effect,  often the memories are a little obscured. Sometimes it is difficult to clearly remember specific details. Another thing I have noticed, is that a certain number of the instances seem to center around the death of a person. I’ve also noticed that when these types of incidents occur, people associated with the event, seem to disappear and become very difficult to track down to ask them how they remember it. It’s almost as though when there is a reality shift, especially if it relates to a death, all the loose ends relating to the old timeline are mysteriously tied up, making it almost impossible to get confirmation. Have you noticed this? It’s almost as if there is some kind of intelligence cleaning up any evidence that things were different before the shift occurred.

After receiving Steve’s emails, I went back to see when that first interview I did with Regina Meredith aired, and it looks like that it was originally planned to be released in mid-November 2016, but going back to check some of my notes, it looks like it likely aired in one of the first days of January 2017.  At that time, I had been publishing YouTube videos each month until I became very sick with a respiratory infection starting in December 2016, and thus there is a gap of several months between my YouTube video of November 23, 2016, Mandela Effect VS Manifestation (before I got very sick) and the next one I did, Many Possible Realities and Mandela Effect, on April 3, 2017, once I was feeling well enough to get back into creating videos.  I had been so ill in December 2016 that I commented to just a few closest friends and family that I felt I’d been close to death.

How it Feels to be ‘Alive Again’

I have a clear sense that I’ve experienced Divine Love and Divine Grace.  During the time I had been so ill, I was aware of the fragility of life.  Realizing that I’m now in a unique position to know how it feels to be Alive Again, my first emotional responses are of great gratitude and thanks, with a sense of reverence.  I have renewed my personal commitment to keep a pure heart, making a daily meditative and prayerful practice of requesting assistance from God / Divine Source to purify my heart and keep it pure, so that all I feel in my heart is a sense of Divine Love and Joy.

To me, this incident is a great deal bigger than most all the other types of reality shifts I report in the monthly RealityShifters ezine.  And I feel very grateful to Steve and all others who felt I might die and had an adverse emotional reaction to that possibility.  I know of two other friends who, in addition to Steve, also were aware that I might almost die at that time, about two years ago.

One thing I’ve noticed when having a “No!” reaction to hearing news of someone’s death, to be followed later by them being alive again is that it’s entirely possible that people connected through collective consciousness are making a kind of vote on the matter.  I thus was especially grateful to hear news that some people were alive again after I’d heard reports of their death, including:  Larry Hagman, Jane Goodall, and Benicio del Toro–and my roommate’s cat, Ashes.  While not everyone I hear of dying subsequently is alive again, I’m just grateful for those that I have experienced being alive again so far in my life.  The reason I attribute such shared awareness and “No!” votes to altering reality is that I witnessed a similar effect once in my household when our beloved elderly family dog appeared to be getting cataracts.  I noticed this on my own one day, and emotionally felt, “No! This can’t be happening to our dear dog!” and almost immediately, his eyes looked bright and clear. Then my daughter told me one day, “Bad news about the dog.”  I immediately inquired, “Is it about his eyes?” and replied that, “It sometimes looks like he’s getting cataracts, but then we can feel we don’t wish that to occur, and it reverses out.”  A similar discussion then followed with my husband, and after that, none of us ever witnessed our dog’s eyes clouding over again.

Because I’ve witnessed the benefit of shared collective consciousness assisting the wellbeing of others (such as my family with our dog’s vision), I am now feeling grateful to all those who would not wish me to have died.

Mandela Effects Go Far Back in Time

In Steve’s correspondence with me related to my being Alive Again, he raised the subject of changes to the Bible, going back thousands of years.  Steve wrote:

There is one Mandela Effect that completely baffles me. It is perhaps the oldest one discovered. It would be the biblical scripture of Isaiah 11:6. I was raised as a Christian and have a strong Christian background. I left the church and abandoned Christianity over a decade ago, after reading some books by author Bart D. Ehrman on the origins of Christianity and the bible. But, that’s another story. The scripture found in Isaiah 11:6 has changed.  I remember it reading that ‘the lion will lie down with the lamb.’  Now, it reads, ‘the wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid…’ I knew that scripture well, so much so that I did a pastel painting of the scene once, with a lion lying down with a lamb.  Ask anyone who knows the Bible well, and they will tell you that it was the ‘lion’ that lied down with the lamb, not the wolf.

I have looked up that scripture in many different versions of the bible and they all say the wolf will dwell with the lamb now.  Even the oldest bibles now say this. I have a very old one that is falling apart.  I bought it because the illustrations in it were done by Gustav Dore, who is one of my favorite artists.  It reads the same way. This shows that the Mandela Effect can actually be retroactive, changing thousands of years of history.  The implications of this are staggering.

Isaiah 11:6 (KJV)
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

The passage above is one of the most well known and most quoted verses in the Bible yet some claim that this is correct. It is not! This verse should read, “The lion shall lie down with the lamb…”

It makes me wonder about time travel. Could it have been possible for someone to have gone back in time and influenced Isaiah to write the scripture differently? This is one possibility that might explain how something like this could change history and have a ripple effect that could completely rewrite history and many would never be aware of it.

I also recall the Bible passage about the lion laying down with the lamb, and recall having heard it exclusively mentioned that way, with no mention about a wolf lying down with the lamb.  I know of an artist, Kimberly-Lynn Hanson, who recently had a Mandela effect gallery showing in which she invites viewers to consider how some Mandela effects may be ‘closer to truth.’  These are presented like brain-teaser puzzles, and now that way of viewing Mandela effects has me wondering how it might be possible that a “wolf lying down with the lamb” might be closer to truth.  When I think about this particular example, the first thing that comes to my mind is that wolves and lambs have often historically been found living closer together than lions and lambs.  Lions are native to Africa, and their natural prey has historically consisted of wild animals such as gazelles, rather than tame farm animals such as sheep.

There appears to be no limit on how far back in time Mandela effects are capable of going, and this could go a long way to helping explain how our universe is so amazingly off-the-charts unlikely to have come into being ‘accidentally’ or ‘randomly.’  With such a built in collective consciousness ‘voting’ mechanism as reality shifts and Mandela effects seem to provide, we begin to get a sense of how there truly is a hidden order of intrinsic goodness and consciousness operating everywhere, and every-when.

So yes, I do believe it’s possible that the Bible can now have been written differently–and just about everything that’s so far occurred can also have been done differently.  I include a section near the beginning of my book, Quantum Jumps, about how our appreciation and understanding of quantum logic and how quantum jumps can and do occur is about to transform every field of study–including medicine and our courts of law, and not just constrained to various fields of science.  We already witness that there have been sudden shifts in the evolutionary stages of plants and animals–and to me, quantum jumps helps explain the otherwise inexplicable typical lack of ‘missing links’ along the evolutionary trails.  Scientists have even witnessed in laboratory settings that, for example, lactose-intolerant bacteria have mutated in a single generation to suddenly, inexplicably, be able to digest lactose when that was their only source of food in their petri dish environments.

The clues that there might exist a science of miracles has been with us literally for millions of years–yet thanks to quantum physics, we are only just now beginning to fully appreciate what this actually means, and how it might really work.

Dr. Yasunori Nomura with Cynthia Sue Larson

Alive Again and Suddenly Appearing

Equally intriguing to me and possibly very related to these Alive Again reality shift experiences are those in which people seem to pop out of nowhere.  I noticed that physicist Dr. Yasunori Nomura definitely didn’t exist in my realities at the time I was researching and writing my book, “Quantum Jumps” in 2013, since I would have found his research papers and published works in the fields I was investigating, right alongside his colleague, Raphael Bousso, whose work I do cite in Quantum Jumps.  I was able to tell Dr. Nomura this in person when I met him to chat and have tea after seeing him at a showing of the 2013 film, “Particle Fever” at UC Berkeley in 2014, and Yasunori seemed to appreciate the possibility that these sorts of macro-scale quantum events really can and do happen, and such might be the case with his sudden existence in my realities.  I have been told by several people, starting around late 2010 that they were absolutely 100% certain I didn’t use to exist in their realities prior to that time, since they definitely would have heard of me and my website and books and research–which at that point in time had been around for a decade.
