Live your best possible life. How good can it get?

Quantum Jumping

Cynthia Sue Larson

I just returned from a trip to Los Angeles where my replies to questions asked by director Stephen Grant of Canada’s History Channel’s “Weird or What? with William Shatner” were filmed. While I didn’t get to meet William Shatner (he was in New York, preparing to launch his one-man show on Broadway), I got to meet some of the wonderful people who work with him on a TV show dedicated to exploring some of the stranger things happening here on Earth.

The premise of the episode I participated in has to do with the concept of quantum jumping — the act of moving from one universe to another alternate reality. This is an area of great interest to me, as for the past thirteen years I’ve been observing the way consciousness changes the physical world, and how amazing it feels when one observes reality shifts.

One of the most fascinating things to me about quantum jumping is the premise that we can enjoy a better life by envisioning ourselves in a more favorable alternate reality. By focusing on how we ourselves can be better, and relaxing and intending to experience such a reality by fully embodying the people we would be in a reality in which we are healthier, happier, wealthier, and more successful in some way — we can literally jump to that other universe of possibility like walking through a door from one reality to the next.

The popular expression “quantum jump” is usually meant to describe a leap that is big — but to scientists, quantum jumps are tiny, discrete (indivisible), and abrupt. The idea of quantum particles is that they can exist in material form at one energy level or another, but not in between. When quantum particles have been observed to make a quantum jump from one state to another, scientists have watched them appear to blink on and off.

Quantum jumping is the process by which a person can envision some desired result or state of being that is clearly very different from the existing situation … and by clearly observing that possibility and supplying enough energy, make a leap into that alternate reality. The idea behind quantum jumping is that while we seldom consciously realize it, we are living in a multiverse of parallel universes. Usually, these alternate realities have no connection to one another. A quantum jump can be made through a kind of handshake through time and space. This connection forms a bridge that allows someone experiencing a quantum jump to literally end up in another reality. The connection is so total that a person can literally walk into another place and time. While to the universe, both of “you” still exist, usually your awareness of who you are will coalesce on one reality, leaving the other forgotten and left behind.

People often experience walking into parallel worlds that are nearly — but not quite entirely — identical to the one they came from. In such cases, you may find something has seemingly shifted in some startling way. A door or building may appear where one had never been before, or you might notice something as simple as your keys not being where you know you put them … and then find them in a very odd place with no apparent explanation.

How is Quantum Jumping Possible?

Consider the idea that many times — possibly even every time — you make a decision or choice, you are actually moving between alternate realities — between parallel worlds. In those alternate realities there are so many other possible “yous” which you can connect with so strongly that the conscious awareness and energy that is you literally moves into that other reality. When feeling so strongly connected to another self in a different reality, it is possible to gain direct access to the knowledge available only in that time and space, and to experience an entirely different self.

What makes quantum jumping possible is that, like a quantum particle, a person has the ability to exhibit quantum behavior. While it is extremely improbable that you will often be able to do some of the things quantum particles do — such as tunnel through solid barriers, or make quantum jumps to other alternate times and places — our current understanding of physics suggests such things are within the realm of possibility, and can be expected to occur.

Experimental observations at the quantum level change our assumptions about reality as we see that quantum particles are not always particles and sometimes exist as pure energy, that some kind of invisible connection exists between entangled quantum particles so they move together simultaneously with non-local spooky action at a distance, that simply by observing an experiment we are affecting it, and that unlike classical physics, quantum behavior can only ever be predicted by probabilities.

In order to explain some of this truly strange quantum behavior, Niels Bohr theorized that quantum particles exist as waves that might be anywhere until the wave function is collapsed. Hugh Everett III theorized that we exist in an multiverse consisting of many worlds of parallel realities. Physicist John Cramer theorizes it is possible for information to be exchanged between past and future through a kind of handshake between two points in spacetime. Scientists David Bohm and Karl Pribram proposed the universe is a giant hologram, containing matter and consciousness in a single field.

What all this means to someone experiencing a quantum jump is that they can enter another parallel reality by relaxing and imagining they are accessing some kind of bridge, window, or doorway to another world with another self who has another set of characteristics, qualities, or skills. With quantum jumping, one makes the leap from simply imagining oneself in an alternate reality to actually being that other self.

Examples of Quantum Jumping

The success of most all visualization methods and affirmations can be attributed to quantum jumping.

Some of the most effective weight loss programs work by helping people lose weight by imagining they now live in an alternate reality in which they are already thin.

Many top athletes use visualization of perfect performance together with envisioning they can become that top athlete to improve their athletic results in real life.

When someone says I’m faking it ’til I make it, they might well be envisioning themselves as being an entirely transformed person. A person who wants a promotion can thus emulate the dress, speech, behavior, self assurance and posture of someone at the next level up, to be considered deserving of a promotion.

How Does Quantum Jumping Work?

You’ve probably heard of self-fulfilling prophecies, and how athletes practice visualization of perfect performance in order to get the best results. Everything is made up of quantum material at its very core, and the idea behind quantum jumping is that it’s possible to jump to an alternate reality in much the same way that an electron dematerializes at one orbital level and reappears at another. The basic principle behind quantum jumping is based on combining some ideas about behavior of the very smallest quantum particles from physics. Quantum jumping can be envisioned as occurring in a multiverse of many alternate realities, in which each one of these realities exists another possible ‘you’ that you are connected to. Just as electrons can make energetic leaps from one energetic level to another, people can quantum jump through alternate realities to experience dramatic shifts in physical reality.

Anyone who can relax, clear their mind, and envision being different in some way — such as more successful, funny, healthy, wealthy, or wise — can quantum jump. When making these kinds of quantum jumps, one can feel immediate benefits from such positive thinking.

To initiate a quantum jump, keep an open mind that you can experience another reality. Sincerely desire and feel a connection to another reality, envisioning some way of making a connection with it through a bridge, a door, a window or a handshake. Your ability to form a strong intention, to concentrate, and to get and stay focused while being simultaneously relaxed and open-minded are essential.

  1. Just recently I have begun using the techniques of shifting and attraction I had pretty much abandoned in the last two very difficult years. Already things are improving dramatically and I am recieving wonderful messages from the universe (We interrupt this broadcast to tell you that you will see a great increase in your finances and pleasant surprises will abound) but what I have noticed in just the last couple of days is that things have CHANGED. Houses that weren’t there before, and another house that I swear was beige one day and light blue the next. I think it’s not so much a handshake as a bit like one of those games where you slide a chip in through the top of the screen and when you line up like chips suddenly all the chips in that row fall into place. That’s what I feel happening around me.

  2. Some folks who are really into this can be found at weness dot org. I looked into it attentively for a while. My conclusion is that it’s impossible to prove. The reported changes can be explained easily without the “leaping to alternative reality” explanation. I came into it really wanting it to work. If it does, the effects will probably not be evident in this lifetime.
Yes, we can attract better things in life. But for now, we are all subject to the limitations of this current incarnation, plus or minus a few magical moments. I wish it was truly otherwise.
Would like to hear from anyone for whom it seems to really have worked. Have not come across one yet.

    • Most of the jaw-droppingly amazing reality shifts I’ve seen can’t be explained easily with other explanations. You can see examples of these extraordinary reality shifts in my book, “Reality Shifts: When Consciousness Changes the Physical World”—looking inside the book at amazon.com at http://amzn.to/wOw84R

  3. Interesting article, I’ve never read anything on quantum jumping and didn’t realize it is basically using the law of attraction to shift to a new reality.

A great read by my new friend Cindy Sue a physicist~

    • This is a really cool story–and especially amazing, thanks to video footage! I found an old entry from this Swedish gentleman, Hakan Nordkvist, that reads:

      There was plenty

      September 3, 2006

      September 3rd, 22:45

I understand that I should tell you more about my slightly bizarre experience.

It all happened on the afternoon of August 30. It was nice weather and I came home quite early from a job in Färjestaden. I’ve already told you about the leak in the kitchen, but here is a picture of the place where it happened.

Having crawled a bit, I came out in a different world. At first I thought I crept through the house and out in the garden, but it was not. It was not a late summer afternoon. It was more like a spring day and I was not in my own garden, but in a park-like setting on a small lake.
I stood up and looked around and caught absolutely nothing. After a while, I saw an elderly man walking toward me. He had been sitting on a blanket with a rather large collection of people, young and old, who had some kind of picnic.

We started talking and he said he recognized me and he had hardly expected to surpass himself as a young man, but that he heard that there has been a lot of late.

      I did still nothing.

When the main shock subsided, he was able to prove to me that we two were one and the same person. Hakan Nordkvist as 36 and Hakan Nordkvist as 72. And that we were in his time – that year, 2042. Not so easy to buy, right?

But I checked all sorts of strange facts and he (or me …) knew everything about me. What I was thinking in middle school, I hid the letters from Catherine the 80’s and what it was in the match against Växjö Norra with 15-årslaget. He knew everything. Exactly the same tattoo, we also had. In exactly the same place. In the end, I felt that he (or me …) were right.

We talked about this and that, but I promised not to tell too much. I did at least have it very good and most of it was quite similar in the world.

When I came back to the kitchen, I thought of course it must have been a dream. But as I watched the film that I recorded with my phone and found that the meeting actually took place.

I had met myself in the future.

    • Here’s another old journal entry (translated from Swedish to English) from the above mentioned time traveler, Hakan Nordkvist, I find interesting. He noticed that his time travel journey began at 4:30 pm on 2 September, and returned to his usual life at 4:30 pm that same day:

      THE TIME DOES NOT EXIST.

      October 28, 2006

In a few hours we go from summer to winter. There is something strange about that. Now, tonight, we win one hour clock to the screwed back from 3 to 2. Thus, one can start checking out an episode of The Sopranos at 2 and be done with it at 2 (including toabesök or something). Bonus.

It was like when I went off on my “journey” (2 September). I got under the sink half past four, and when I came out it was still at half past four. No time had passed in this world, but I was safe to visit in the future for up to 1 hour.

As the transition to winter, that is.

Summertime is also tricky. When we turn to the so we lose an hour. It just disappears and never was when the clock goes from being 2:00 to 3:00 in no time. Where does the time go?

Here, somewhere, maybe one can find parallels to time travel. My or anyone else’s.

  7. Very cool Cindy Sue~

  8. I just found out I’ve been jumping my whole life. I had no idea what it was until about 4 days ago. I’m finding it very hard to talk to people about it, it scares me to do so, they’ll think I’m crazy.

    • You’re definitely not crazy! I’m writing a book on this topic now, packed with scientific research and studies that you can put on your coffee table and talk to family, colleagues and friends about without the whole subject sounding “woo-woo.” This new book’s working title is “Quantum Jumps,” and I’m hoping to have it out by the end of this year. 🙂

  9. Superb, what a web site it is! This web site gives valuable facts to us, keep it
    up.

  10. Is it possible to swap bodies with a doppleganger from a parallel universe?

    • My view of the way parallel realities typically work is that they represent parallel possible worlds that are accessible to us based on our belief in who we are. In this way, consciousness itself–including concepts of levels of consciousness–are the key identifier of who each of us truly is. In this fashion, all physical versions of ourselves are possible–yet none are truly who we are. Our core identity is our consciousness of who we are, and it is our consciousness that is capable of moving from one reality to another, and in fact does so many times every day. A way of thinking about this is that just as light shines through frames in a movie reel, giving the illusion of continuity, so too do we assume that the stream of movements from one reality to another to another to another is actually ourselves always being the same from one moment to the next. But careful study of scientific evidence suggests this is highly unlikely! So answering your question is a matter of reconsidering what is happening when we make quantum jumps. It’s not swapping bodies–it’s recognizing that we never really were “just a body” in the first place. 🙂
